• Dr. Shane Garrison continues to serve as interim pastor of Lancaster Baptist Church in Garrard Co., just outside of Richmond, and on the faculty of Campbellsville University.
• Mrs. Jennifer Garrison has begun work on a Ph.D. in Family Ministry at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and continues adjuncting in the Campbellsville Univ. School of Theology.
• Mr. Philip Brunner continues to serve as Pastor of Worship & Administration at Main Street Baptist Church in Alexandria. 
• Rev. Brandon Carrier continues as Associate Pastor of Pioneer Baptist Church in Harrodsburg and is acting interim pastor. 
• Rev. Zach Rice continues as Minister of Music and Education at Immanuel Baptist Church in Danville. 
• Rev. Dave Crowe continues as Senior Pastor of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church in Mercer County.

August 14 - Jamestown First Baptist Church – Dr. Garrison will be preaching in the Sunday morning service for interim pastor Dr. Rick Garner.

August 24 – KY Baptist Convention - Garrison will be filming two children’s ministry training videos for the KBC Children’s & Preschool division.  These videos will be posted online for children’s ministry leaders across the state to use as a digital resource in their churches.

August 27 – KBC Super Saturday Elizabethtown – Garrison will be leading two workshops in discipleship called “One-on-One Discipleship” and “Discovering Your SHAPE.”

September 10 – KBC Super Saturday Lexington – Garrison will be leading four workshops in Christian discipleship and Sunday School.

September 11 – Pioneer Baptist Church Bible Conference – Garrison will be preaching in the Sunday evening session for this annual week-long Bible conference hosted by Pioneer BC in Harrodsburg.

September 17 – KBC Super Saturday Owensboro – Dr. Garrison will be leading two sessions at this event for deacons.

September 24 – Valley View Baptist Church Christian Parenting Conference – Garrison will be speaking at the main session of the event.

October 10-12 – LifeWay Kid’s Ministry Conference – Garrison will be leading two breakout sessions on “Equipping & Encouraging Parents” and “Theology 4 Kids.”

July 30 – Anchor Baptist Church, Richmond, KY – Garrison will be finishing the Transformational Church consultation process with pastor Chris Carroll and church leadership.

July 31 – First Baptist Church, Monticello, KY – Garrison will be preaching in the Sunday morning service.

August 7 – Campbellsville Baptist Church, Campbellsville, KY – Garrison will be preaching in the two morning worship services.

August 8 – Danville Christian Academy – Garrison will be leading a professional development seminar for teachers and staff of the Christian school in the afternoon.  That evening another session for the parents focusing on Biblical Parenting and Child Spiritual Formation will be held.

August 24 – KY Baptist Convention – Garrison will be filming training videos for children’s ministry leaders which will be part of the KBC’s effort to equip and support churches. The videos are part of larger project to create online content for local church uses.

Bethany BC is a 100-attender church in the Highlands neighborhood of Louisville.  It sits on the corner of Taylorsville and Bardstown roads.  The church is highly committed to global and national missions and reaches many young seminary families.

Bro. Ken Vickery begins as the new pastor on July 17.

May 16-19 – Contagious Churches & Leaders Conference – Campbellsville Univ. Louisville Extension Center, Louisville, KY - Dr. Shane Garrison will be presenting a main session on how Millennials are reacting to the cultural shift of postmodernity and how that is radically shaping their worldview. 

The main session speakers are Dr. Leonard Sweet, Dr. Steve Ayers, Dr. Kevin Cosby, Dr. Jeff Eaton, and Jon Weece.

May 20-21 – Hope Community Church, Frankfort, KY – Christian Parenting Conference – Dr. Garrison will be presenting two seminars for Christian parents and preaching in the Sunday morning worship services.  Hope Community is pastored by Dr. Jeff Eaton.

June 11 – Anchor Baptist Church, Richmond, KY – Transformational Church Leadership Summit – Garrison will be leading Anchor through the Tranformational Church process.  Anchor is pastored by Chris Carroll.

July 24 – Crestwood Baptist Church, Frankfort, KY - Bible Study Teacher Training Workshop - Garrison will be presenting a training for Sunday School teachers and preaching in the Sunday morning worship services.  Crestwood is pastored by Dr. Michael Hail.

The following was taken during the 2011 KBC Imagine Preschool and Children’s Ministry Conference at Parkway Baptist Church in Bardstown, KY.  Dr. Garrison was asked to bring the message Saturday morning during the large group session.

• Salem Baptist Church, Campbellsville - Jan. 30-Feb. 2 – Teaching a 4-session study through the book of Galatians for the annual LifeWay January Bible Study. Honored to be invited by Pastor Michael Goodwin.
• The IMAGINE Preschool & Children’s Conference at Parkway Bapt. Church sponsored by the KY Baptist Convention – Feb. 11-12 – Garrison will be speaking in the Friday evening main session and then leading a breakout session on Equipping and Empowering Parents to be spiritual disciplers of their children.
• Good Hope Baptist & Friendship Baptist Church, Campbellsville – Feb. 27-Mar. 2 – Teaching the Galatians Bible study again for these two wonderful churches who come together for this annual event.
• Anchor Baptist Church, Richmond - Ongoing – Garrison will be leading Anchor through the Transformational Church assessment strategy.  Garrison will serve alongside Pastor Chris Carroll and key ministry leaders as they assess their current ministry dreams and possibilities.
• Bethany Baptist Church, Louisville – Garrison continues to serve as Bethany’s interim pastor.

Dr. Shane Garrison will be a main session speaker and breakout leader for the Imagine Children’s Ministry Conference hosted by the Kentucky Baptist Convention and Parkway Baptist Church in Bardstown. The conference will be Friday & Saturday, February 11-12, 2011.

The conference is going to present excellent breakouts sessions by national leaders. There are going to be exceptional tools for children pastors, Sunday school teachers, parents, literally anyone who has a passion for children and sharing Jesus with them.

Garrison will be sharing his personal story on Friday night in the main session and leading a breakout session called “Equipping and Empowering Parents.”

Garrison has been preaching weekly at Bethany since mid-September. As of Nov. 7, Garrison will stay on until they secure a senior pastor whether it be a few months or longer.

Bethany BC is located on the corner of Taylorsville and Bardstown Road in the Highlands district. It is a historic church with many connections to Southern Seminary, Campbellsville University and numerous mission organizations in Jefferson County.

Garrison is joined by Dr. Tom Bolton who serves as Minister of Music and Bro. Nick Webb who is the Youth and Children’s Minister. Dr. Bolton serves on the music faculty at SBTS in the School of Church Ministries and was formerly the Dean of the School of Music. Bro. Nick is a seminary student pursuing his M.Div.

Bethany’s people are quite eclectic. There is a strong number of senior adult members and a good number of young families, including many seminary connected couples. There is diversity in the church as we have attenders from India, Korea, China, Africa and all parts of Louisville. There is even a Korean church that use the facility called True Light Korean Baptist Church.

In all the church is seeking to reach more people for Christ and become a light in their neighborhood.
