Super Saturday – Lexington

Maple Trail President Dr. Shane Garrison spent time encouraging and equiping over 60 deacons from 30+ churches from Kentucky.  As part of the Lexington KBC Super Saturday event, Garrison taught two sessions during the workshop:  Deacons’ Meetings that R.O.C.K. and Deacons as Peacemakers.

The deacons ranged greatly in their experience and tenure.  Some were in the first year or two of deacon ministry, coming to get basic questions answered and training on what they should be doing.  Others were far more experienced.  The most tenured deacon began in 1950 – 59 years of being a deacon in one church.

Garrison will be presenting the same sessions at the upcoming Elizabethtown (Aug. 29) and Somerset (Sep. 12) Super Saturday meetings.
